Leigh-Anne of girl group Little Mix was with friends enjoying a night out before heading to a late-night restaurant. As she sat with friends, a man is said to have started insulting their group. After Leigh-Anne defended one of her friends, he is said to have shouted at her before slapping her in the face.
Her friends called police who then showed up but the man had already gone. Eyewitnesses claim: “He walked around the table and leant into her and gave her a clean slap on the face.”
Leigh-Anne was said to have been initially shocked before breaking down in floods of tears as her friends comforted her.
A Met spokesman said: “Police were called on Monday, 28 November at around 04:50 hours by a woman who stated that a man had threatened to assault her and had assaulted another woman she was with.
“The suspect made off prior to police arrival. Officers conducted a search of the area and did not locate the suspect.” According to police, no arrests have been made and enquiries are on going.
